Insulated Shovels for Groundwork

An insulated shovel helps reduce the risk of electrical contact when digging around buried cables. The fibreglass shaft provides insulation while the steel blade handles digging and moving soil or gravel.

The ProSolve range includes different blade shapes for specific jobs. Taper mouth shovels suit mixing concrete, handling tarmac and backfilling trenches while trenching shovels are designed for excavating narrow channels.

These shovels are suitable for groundwork, utilities, road maintenance and construction sites where insulated hand tools are required.

Choosing the Right Insulated Shovel

The right shovel depends on the ground conditions and the type of excavation.

A general service shovel is ideal for digging hard ground, moving loose materials and levelling soil. Taper mouth shovels are better suited to handling ballast, cement and tarmac, with a treaded blade that provides extra grip when applying foot pressure.

For pipe and cable installation, a slim blade shovel allows more precise digging in confined spaces. Its rounded blade corners help reduce the risk of damage to underground services.

FAQs
