A High Vis Vest That Releases if Snagged

Loose clothing can create an entanglement risk around tools and moving machinery. Press studs at the shoulders and sides allow the waistcoat to separate if it becomes caught rather than relying on the front fastening to release.

The zip keeps the vest closed during normal work while elasticated panels at the sides and rear provide a closer fit. Reflective tape runs across the front and forms a V-shaped arrangement with vertical braces at the rear which keeps the wearer visible from different directions.

Pulsar Protect Orange Tear-Apart Waistcoat

The Pulsar Protect waistcoat is made from a cotton and polyester fabric. It uses sewn on reflective tape rather than printed detailing and is available in sizes S through to 6XL. Its orange colour and RIS-3279-TOM certification make it suitable for rail environments, while EN ISO 20471 Class 2 covers its high visibility performance.

Choosing a Hi Vis Vest

Choose a size that closes fully over the clothing worn underneath without pulling across the chest or leaving excessive loose material. The elasticated sides and rear help control the fit but the reflective tape must remain uncovered and visible while working.

A vest provides visibility without adding insulation or weather protection. Choose a hi-vis jacket or waterproof outer layer instead where the work also requires protection from rain, wind or cold conditions.
