Commercial Floor Paint for Concrete Floors

Concrete floors in working environments have to withstand vehicles, machinery, regular foot traffic and repeated cleaning. A specialist coating seals the surface and creates a hard wearing finish that is better suited to these conditions than standard paint.

The Garage Floor Paint is available in black, grey, green, blue, red, yellow and white. Each litre covers approximately 7m² per coat, giving around 35m² of coverage from a 5L tin. Two coats are recommended for an even, durable finish, with additional paint allowed for rough or porous concrete.

Heavy Duty Floor Paint for Garages and Workspaces

The high gloss coating is made for concrete floors exposed to hot vehicle tyres, oil, petrol and chemical spills. Grey and black provide a practical finish for general floor areas, while red, yellow, blue, green and white can be used to distinguish walkways, work zones or storage areas.

Preparing Concrete for Industrial Floor Coatings

The floor must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dust and loose paint before coating. Sound prepared concrete can take the paint directly, while weak or porous surfaces may need a suitable primer.

Apply the paint above 7°C and allow each coat to dry according to the product instructions. It becomes touch dry in approximately two to four hours and reaches full cure within 24 to 48 hours.

FAQ

Where can commercial floor paint be used?

Commercial floor paint can be used on prepared concrete in garages, workshops, warehouses, loading bays, production areas and cold stores.

How much industrial floor paint do I need?

A 5L tin covers approximately 35m² with one coat. As two coats are recommended a 35m² floor will normally require around 10L.

Does concrete need a primer before painting?

Not always. Properly prepared concrete can take the paint directly but weak or porous concrete may need a primer to improve adhesion.

How long does commercial floor paint take to dry?

The paint is touch dry in approximately two to four hours and fully cured within 24 to 48 hours. Drying can take longer in cold or poorly ventilated conditions.
