Underground Warning Tapes
A warning tape is the last line of defence against a utility strike. Laid in the trench during backfill, it sits a set distance above the pipe or cable so anyone excavating later reaches the bright printed tape before they reach the service itself. That warning buys time to stop, and prevents the injuries, outages and repair bills a strike causes.
Detectable tape carries a metallic core which can be traced without breaking ground while non-detectable tape has no core and works as a visual warning once a dig exposes it. Use detectable tape for services that may need finding again, and non-detectable where a clear visual warning during excavation is enough.

Detectable Warning Tape
The detectable gas and water tapes carry a metal-traceable core through the roll. Once buried, the route can be picked up from the surface with a standard cable avoidance tool which lets a survey team map the service again without digging to find it. These come in 100m rolls and suit any run where the utility may need locating in future.
General Caution Tape
For above-ground use, the caution tape cordons off hazards and restricted areas quickly. It ties between posts, cones or barriers to create a visible boundary around a trench, a spill or any temporary hazard on site.
