Containers for everyday site and garden work
Builders’ buckets and flexible tubs
The 14L builders’ bucket comes in black or yellow, with a metal handle, plastic grip and pouring spout. Flexible tubs offer a wider choice of capacities: 15L, 26L, 42L, 56L and 75L in black or yellow. Their flexible bodies and reinforced handles suit moving rubble, garden materials and other suitable contents around the working area.
Metal buckets and lidded bins
Galvanised steel buckets are available in 10L and 12L sizes. For larger waste and storage tasks, compare the 90L galvanised metal dustbin with the 80L polypropylene model. Both include lids, but their materials and dimensions differ. The V-lip tar bucket provides a shaped pouring lip for roadworks and civils applications where controlled pouring is important.
Water containers and dispensing options
Portable plastic water containers come in 5L, 10L and 25L capacities. The 5L HDPE model includes a 38mm tamper-evident cap, while the larger models use an approximately 60mm cap thread. Replacement dispensing taps are listed separately for compatible 10L and 25L containers. Check the selected fitting before ordering; a container and a tap are separate products.
Choose the capacity for the task
A larger container holds more volume, but its contents may quickly become heavy. Consider the material, carrying distance and handling method when selecting a bucket or flexi tub. The capacity describes volume rather than a universal safe carrying load. Match the container to the task and avoid treating every plastic bucket as suitable for hot materials, chemicals or fuel.
For plastering and building-material preparation, the 30L mixing bucket has reinforced sides and additional grip points for handling and pouring. For winter maintenance, the 200L grit bin stores road grit, rock salt or sand. It is supplied empty and is intended to hold up to eight 25kg bags of material. Scoops, shovels and contents are separate from the bin.
Check lids, taps and accessories
The individual product description states which parts are included. Lidded dustbins include their stated lids, while water containers include caps but not dispensing taps. The metal jerry can is supplied without the optional pouring spout shown in one photograph. Confirm the supplied quantity and selected size before adding an item to your order, particularly when photographs show an accessory fitted.
The 10L and 25L water containers are not suitable for petrol or diesel. Choose a container with the stated suitability required for its intended contents and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. The metal jerry can has its own construction and closure specification; that specification should not be applied to unrelated plastic containers.
Storage, cleaning and repeated use
Clean containers appropriately between tasks and inspect handles, closures and bodies before reuse. Galvanised finishes help resist corrosion, while plastic containers offer different handling characteristics. For the garden incinerator, follow the stated assembly instructions and maximum load, and move it only when fully cold. Use the specification tables to compare dimensions and materials so replacement orders match the equipment already in use.
