Belt sander belts matched to your machine

Two belt dimensions

The 75 × 533mm and 100 × 610mm sizes cover different portable belt sander specifications. Belt width and loop length both matter: a belt with the right width can still be unsuitable if its length is wrong. Use the machine specification or the dimensions of the correct replacement belt to make your selection.

Three belts of the selected grit

Each pack contains three belts in the selected size and grade. Choose from 40, 60, 80 and 120 grit to suit the preparation stage and the surface. Separate grade options make it straightforward to order more of the abrasive your team uses most often, while keeping unused belts available for replacement.

Cloth backing and aluminium oxide abrasive

These sanding belts combine an open coat aluminium oxide abrasive, full resin bond and blended cloth backing. A dry lubricant treatment helps resist clogging. The range is suitable for preparation work on wood, metal, fillers, primers and paint, subject to using a compatible machine and a grade appropriate to the job.

Match the abrasive to the task

Belt sanding is useful when the shape and area of the work suit a continuous abrasive belt. Decide on the surface finish needed before selecting a grade, and keep the belt moving as directed by your machine instructions. A coarse grade may suit initial preparation, followed by a finer grade as the surface improves. Check your work regularly so you can change grade before removing more material than intended.

Choosing the right grit and quantity

Check the surface condition, the finish you want and the equipment you will use before selecting an abrasive. A lower grit number is coarser than a higher number. Avoid choosing solely by the pack colour: read the grade and the product specification. For a job with several stages, keep the grades separate so the correct abrasive is easy to identify as work progresses.

Order by the quantity stated on the individual listing. A pack contains the selected product option; it does not include a sander, sanding block or other equipment shown for illustration. Check the size and pack count together when planning supplies for several people or repeat jobs, and retain the product code so you can reorder the same option accurately.

Prepare and check your work

Follow the instructions for your machine and the material being prepared. Confirm the abrasive is properly supported and attached before use, and inspect it as work progresses. Replace a damaged or worn abrasive rather than relying on extra pressure to restore its cut. Remove sanding residue as appropriate before moving to the next preparation or finishing stage, so remaining particles do not affect the result.
