Protection matched to the material

Carpet, hard flooring and glass need different products. Our range includes clear carpet film for synthetic carpets, blue hard floor film for surfaces such as hardwood, tiles and laminate, and blue window film for glass and mirrors. For varied hard surfaces, the red multi-surface protector uses an improved adhesive designed for application to different materials.

Check the individual product’s suitability before selecting a roll. The carpet protectors are not suitable for wool carpets. A film intended for a hard floor should not be assumed suitable for a carpet simply because the dimensions or thickness match. Choosing by surface first makes the options easier to compare.

Roll sizes for different areas

The standard 600mm carpet film comes in 25m, 50m and 100m lengths. Reverse-wound carpet protection offers the same three lengths, while the wide carpet protector measures 1200mm by 100m. Hard floor and window films are available in 600mm widths with 25m, 50m and 100m rolls. The multi-surface protector is supplied as a 600mm by 100m roll.

Compare the area you need to cover with the width and length of the selected product. A wider carpet roll offers a different coverage format from the 600mm options; the reverse-wound version changes how the roll is applied. These are practical product differences, so choose the format as well as the roll length.

Self-adhesive application

The films adhere directly to their intended surfaces. Standard carpet film is unwound and laid flat against the carpet without separate tape. Reverse-wound carpet film can be laid down and rolled out, helping simplify application. The carpet films provide lightweight, waterproof protection with high tear and puncture resistance and help avoid the loose folds associated with dust sheets.

For carpeted areas, compare the standard carpet protector film with the reverse-wound carpet film. Both are intended for synthetic carpets; their different winding formats help you choose how you want to lay the protection.

Protection during building and decorating

The hard floor protector covers suitable hardwood, tiled and laminate surfaces. ProSolve specifies up to four weeks in place, with no residue left on removal. Window protection film similarly supports temporary use for up to four weeks, helping shield windows and mirrors from dust and paint during building work, decorating or shop refits. Its blue tint makes protected areas easier to recognise.

The multi-surface protector film provides another option for worktops, kitchen units, bathroom suites, tiled areas and floors. Its puncture-resistant film helps protect against dirt, dust and spills during painting and maintenance, and peels away without residue when the job is complete.

Check each product before ordering

All films in this range are described by ProSolve as 60 micron. Each listing sets out its actual roll choices, supplier codes and supported uses. Packs contain one roll; the supplier’s carton quantity is four rolls. Select the product and length required on its page, and use its stated surface restrictions and application period when planning the job.
