Bitumen Products
Bitumen products from Ready Set Supplied bring together materials for sealing construction joints, preparing porous surfaces and carrying out asphalt repairs. Compare cold-applied jointing strips, primer and sealer, cold joint sealer aerosols and application brushes. Check the individual product’s intended use, dimensions and application method before choosing materials for your repair.
Bitumen products for preparation, sealing and repairs
A successful repair starts with selecting the right product for the surface and the joint involved. A thick jointing strip used between concrete components serves a different purpose from an aerosol applied at the edge of an asphalt repair. Primer prepares the substrate, while a suitable brush helps apply liquid materials where they are required. This collection keeps those different jobs clearly identified, so you can compare the relevant products without confusing one application method with another.
For supporting site equipment, explore our bins, buckets and tubs. When setting out a work area, our barrier fencing and debris netting collection provides a separate range of temporary boundary materials. These related collections help you organise the wider job alongside your sealing materials.
Cold-applied jointing strips in four sizes
ProSolve Bitumen Jointing Strips combine butyl rubber-based plastic with bitumen. They are designed for concrete manhole components, sewers and similar projects requiring a bitumen seal. The material adheres to concrete and provides sealing against water, wastewater and chemicals. Because these strips are applied cold, a burner is not required for their application.
Compare the complete size rather than width alone. The 40mm-wide option is 20mm thick and supplied in a 4m roll. The 60mm, 80mm and 120mm-wide options are 12mm thick and supplied in 6m rolls. Each selectable option represents one roll. ProSolve recommends its Bitumen Primer & Seal when the strips are used in wet or damp conditions; follow the individual product instructions for your substrate and joint.
Primer and sealer for porous surfaces
ProSolve Bitumen Primer & Seal is supplied in a 5 litre tin and prepares rough, porous or friable surfaces before bitumen products are fitted. Its fast-drying formula penetrates dusty surfaces and leaves a tacky finish to support adhesion of the following bitumen layer. Once dry, it forms an odourless, taint-free bitumen film. The supplier lists approximate coverage of 5–7 square metres per litre, so allow for differences in surface condition when planning quantities.
Cold joint sealer aerosols provide another option for asphalt repair work. The existing ProSolve 750ml listings are available individually and by the box of 12. Choose the pack that matches the work required and read the relevant application guidance. These aerosol products and the 5 litre primer have different purposes and should be selected using their own specifications.
Disposable brushes with a choice of widths
Short handled flat tar and bitumen brushes are available in 1, 2, 3 and 4 inch widths. Their compact format suits the application of viscous materials during repairs. Each width is sold as an individual disposable brush, allowing you to select the size needed for the application area.
Before ordering, compare roll length, strip thickness, container volume and pack quantity on the product page. Select variants from the available choices and consult the manufacturer’s application and safety information before use. This makes it easier to order the correct preparation materials, seal and applicator together while keeping each product matched to its intended job.
