Hook and loop discs for orbital sanding

125mm and 150mm diameter options

Select the diameter specified for your machine: 125mm corresponds to the five-inch range, while 150mm is the six-inch range. The larger disc is not a substitute for the smaller one on an incompatible backing pad. Check the machine specification and existing pad before choosing the diameter from the product options.

Punched discs with quick-change backing

The hook and loop fixing allows disc changes on a compatible backing pad. Punched holes support dust pickup when their arrangement aligns with the machine. Diameter alone does not confirm compatibility, so compare the fixing and hole arrangement as well. Correct alignment keeps the extraction openings available during sanding.

Aluminium oxide on strong paper

The discs use aluminium oxide abrasive on D-weight paper with good tear resistance. A dry lubricant treatment helps reduce clogging. They are suitable for preparation on wood, metal, fillers, primers and paint. Packs contain five discs in the selected diameter and grit, rather than a mixture of sizes or grades.

Match the abrasive to the task

The four grit options let you choose the level of abrasion for the preparation stage. A lower number gives a coarser abrasive, while a higher number is finer. The best starting grade depends on the current surface and how much material should be removed. Test the selected disc on a small suitable area, inspect the result and change grade when the next stage calls for a finer abrasive.

Choosing the right grit and quantity

Check the surface condition, the finish you want and the equipment you will use before selecting an abrasive. A lower grit number is coarser than a higher number. Avoid choosing solely by the pack colour: read the grade and the product specification. For a job with several stages, keep the grades separate so the correct abrasive is easy to identify as work progresses.

Order by the quantity stated on the individual listing. A pack contains the selected product option; it does not include a sander, sanding block or other equipment shown for illustration. Check the size and pack count together when planning supplies for several people or repeat jobs, and retain the product code so you can reorder the same option accurately.

Prepare and check your work

Follow the instructions for your machine and the material being prepared. Confirm the abrasive is properly supported and attached before use, and inspect it as work progresses. Replace a damaged or worn abrasive rather than relying on extra pressure to restore its cut. Remove sanding residue as appropriate before moving to the next preparation or finishing stage, so remaining particles do not affect the result.
