Choose the right carpet protection roll

Three practical roll formats

Standard 600mm carpet film comes in 25m, 50m and 100m rolls. Reverse-wound film offers those same three lengths. The wide version measures 1200mm by 100m. These are the available combinations: the wider roll is not offered here in the shorter lengths. Start with the carpeted area you want to cover, then compare roll width, length and application format.

Self-adhesive application

The film adheres to the carpet without separate tape. Standard film is unwound and laid flat against the surface. Reverse-wound film can be laid down and rolled out, providing a different application method. Keeping protection against the carpet helps avoid the loose folds associated with dust sheets, particularly around stairs.

Lightweight, waterproof protection

ProSolve describes these polyethylene films as 60 micron thick, with high tear and puncture resistance. They protect against spillages, heavy foot traffic, dirt and debris while remaining lightweight. The clear film is intended for temporary protection of suitable synthetic carpets and rugs during work.

Synthetic carpets only

These carpet films are not suitable for wool carpets. That restriction applies to the standard, reverse-wound and wide products in this collection. Choosing a wider roll or a different winding direction does not change the stated surface suitability. Check the carpet material before ordering, and keep the supplier’s product instructions with the selected roll.

Compare widths and lengths

For a narrower strip or smaller section, compare the 600mm formats and choose between 25m, 50m and 100m lengths. Where a broader roll is useful, the 1200mm by 100m option provides twice the width. Roll dimensions describe the supplied film; they do not account for any overlaps, cuts or waste in your particular job.

What is supplied?

Each product is sold as one roll, with the supplier listing a carton quantity of four rolls. The individual product pages show the exact supplier codes for each length so you can identify the required format when ordering or replenishing supplies. Select the length on the product page before adding it to your basket.

Compare protection for the rest of the job

If the work includes other surfaces or needs a different roll format, compare reverse wound carpet protector film and wide carpet protector film. Each listing explains its intended surface, actual dimensions and available options. Keep those differences in mind when selecting products for a job involving several materials.

Check the individual product page for the selected roll and its supplier reference before ordering. Width, length, winding format and surface suitability are separate decisions: a matching dimension alone does not make two films equivalent. Use the product descriptions to compare what each film is intended to protect and how its application differs.

Plan coverage from the roll dimensions

A 600mm by 100m roll contains 60 square metres of film before cutting or overlap. Use the actual dimensions of the selected roll when planning coverage, and allow for the shape of the area and the way the film will be laid.
