Hi Vis Jackets for Warmth, Visibility and Weather Protection

A high visibility jacket should suit the conditions as well as the visibility requirements of the job. Fluorescent fabric and reflective tape help the wearer stand out, while the lining, jacket length, ventilation and weather protection determine how comfortable it will be during a shift.

Some styles work as standalone outer layers. Selected interactive softshells, fleeces and body warmers can also fasten into compatible storm coats allowing the level of warmth to be changed without covering the hi-vis material with an ordinary jacket.

Softshells, Bombers, Storm Coats and Waterproof Jackets

Hi-vis softshell jackets provide a lighter option for active work and windy conditions. The Pulsar Protect softshell is windproof and can attach to compatible storm coats. Hi-vis fleece jackets add more warmth while the mesh lining on the Protect fleece helps reduce wind chill and makes the garment easier to pull on and remove.

Body warmers keep the core covered while leaving the arms free. The Pulsar Protect version can reverse to its grey padded lining and includes detachable sleeves. Bomber jackets provide a shorter cut for easier movement, with mesh-lined and padded options available. The padded bomber adds a soft microfibre lining, detachable lined hood and underarm ventilation.

Storm coats extend the coverage further down the body. The 7-in-1 storm coat combines an outer coat with a reversible body warmer and detachable sleeves, allowing it to be adjusted for different temperatures. For wet and windy conditions, the Pulsar Life shell jacket uses a waterproof three-layer fabric, zipped ventilation and a detachable helmet-compatible hood.

ARC and flame-resistant clothing is intended for work where the risk assessment identifies electrical arc, heat, flame or anti-static hazards. Standard hi-vis outerwear should not be treated as ARC or flame-resistant unless those properties are specifically stated.
